UnrealisticExpectations 3.0

It’s been a long, long time coming.  You know it.  You don’t even read it anymore.  And that’s okay, really.

On top of the too many spamalot links and pron up top, there’s not boatloads of reasons to come back much.  It’s cool; my life might have finally turned into one of those where I say, “Wow, you have time to blog everyday?” and that’s kind of cool, too.

So, in a couple of days, this site will go away.  I’m tired of the Spam that gets dropped off all the time.  I’m tired of bickering with a web company that cannot keep the site up.  I’m just not into feeling so battered by this anymore.

That said, a different site will come back in a couple of days…  I’m switching over to WordPress and while it’s going to start off pretty generic,  I’ll be working on modifying my theme and all that good stuff so that it’ll be at least a little unique in its look and feel before too long.  I’m also working with Tdawg on getting the old posts imported into the new incarnation–but all previous writers’ posts will be dropped, all reviews will bit it and all those quotes and links will go straight to the crapper, too.

I’ll do my best to get the soundboards back online; the traffic from those is staggering when you view the stats, but I like having them around and if anyone’s ever so inclined to find me 28 .mp3 audio clips from a movie or a series or whatever that is actually funny, I’ll sit down and crank out a new soundboard… and maybe, with a little effort, those 2 new Rude sites that I’m supposed to do (RudeBride is one of them… heh).  Besides, I own the damn server that the new UE3 will be on, so I shouldn’t really pay for hosting elsewhere; that’s just silly.  Anyone want affordable hosting, btw?  heh…

So that’s it for today, but I think this will all improve and clean up a bit pretty soon.  There’s some interesting stuff in the works for me, and some interesting things in life that’ll make me want to share a bit more, but mostly…

I’m just a 36 year old guy with a wife and kid who likes to spend time with them and who likes to lay on the couch from time to time.  And shoot guns.  And hang out with neighbors and friends on the weekends.  A lot, I guess.
