Where Do My Posts Go When They’re Not Around Here?
Bah.
Still irritated. AND the same damn thing just happened to me ALL OVER AGAIN!!! (this time I was a little smarter about it, I think; I didn’t lose the post entirely, at least…). Bah. A zillion more times; now it’s some stupid IE setting that I didn’t happen to mess with. Fun times… I’d better not lose this post this time…
Amazing what a reboot can accomplish. Bastards.
Okay, so all this time has passed since I’ve last posted and I thought I had articulated this nice little bit about what’s been going on in my life.
It was probably the type of post that dreams are made of and you would have lost yourself in your suspension of disbelief and would have thanked me for allowing you to read it after the fact.
But it’s cool. We’re all good.
So, let’s see… We’ll turn back the wayback machine and see if we cannot run-down what’s happened in the last couple of weeks…
- Quit my job. Last day at the old place was miserable as I had nothing to do and my boss wanted me to sit on my duff all damn day with less than the nothing I’d had to do for the previous X months. I packed up and left so I could catch a train and we could…
- Drive to Iowa, barely outrun the Iowa City, IA tornadoes from right before Easter…
- Enjoy the grand festival of color the eggs, let the children run rampant with unbelievable sugar highs…
- Return home, build and level a foundation to a shed in the backyard.
- Build a shed and a ramp from left over scraps. When the gallery’s not F’ing me, I’ll show ya some pictures that’ll bore you to tears…
- Ran this way and that way to try and get permits to get our patio and shed all legal and code-worthy and all that shtuff.
- Got an Autumn Fire Maple planted in the front yard–but only after calling JULIE to make sure we wouldn’t destroy any gas, electric or other lines.
- Bought a John Deere–may have already mentioned this, but it’s nice to say out loud.
- Started my new job as a Product Manager. Truly feel like I’m where I’m supposed to be, career back on track, life moving along as it should and all that….
- Waiting for that “other shoe” to fall… this is a period of “what’s next?” because there are many good things going on.
I guess beyond that whole stupendous, not-correct-in-my-mind cell phone bill I just got…things aren’t so bad. Downright decent, even.
Man.
The waiting IS the hardest part.
