Number Four Is My New Number
Monday, November 12th, 2007Sydney’s Fourth Birthday is today.
That’s right. FOUR.
4 years ago today (tonight), Wil and I were txting back and forth as Sydney was rocking her way through the birth canal. Sometime around 1030 or 11 at night I was calling a handful of people to make the announcement and sometime around 2 or 3 I drove the 1 mile home, blogged about it, posted some pictures and then went back to the hospital to crash in the other bed in Nicolle’s room.
In about 4 more months, I get to do that all over again. I’m nervous, but it’s way cool.
This year feels like the first real year of Sydney truly getting into her birthday and Christmas and sort of “wanting” things–and wanting to give things to other people.
The last part of that makes me feel like a really good parent, btw.
